Temporary Traffic Restriction 2022

Road Traffic Regulation Act, 1984 – Section 14(2) 

In accordance with the provisions of Section 14(2) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act, 1984, the Norfolk County Council HEREBY GIVE NOTICE that owing to new water connection works the use by vehicles of the A149 Yarmouth Road from its junction with U19166 School Lane for 50m north-westwards in the PARISH OF SMALLBURGH will be temporarily prohibited between 19:00 on 5th to 06:00 on 6th May 2022 for the duration of the works, expected to be about 11 hours within the period. If necessary the restriction could run for a maximum period of 5 days.

Alternative route is via: A149 Yarmouth Road/Norwich Road/Wayford Road, B1159 Stepping Stone Lane/Stalham Road/Coast Road/Walcott Road/Coast Road/Paston Road/Bacton Road, Bacton Road, Mundesley Road, Stow Hill, Paston Road, Water Lane, B1145 Knapton Road/Mundesley Road/North Walsham Road/Knapton Road/The Street/North Walsham Bypass, A149 North Walsham Bypass/Yarmouth Road (Dilham, Brumstead, Stalham, Worstead, Smallburgh, Knapton, East Ruston, Paston, Walcott, Bacton, Swafield, Mundesley, North Walsham).

In the event of the start date being delayed the new start date will be displayed on site in advance.
