Mundesley on Show – 7 nights of wonderful entertainment

Celebrate summer with Mundesley on Show August 8 – 17.  Enjoy seven evenings of varied entertainment, from Cabaret to Gang Show, Ceilidh to 1940’s dance, Classical Soiree to a Punk pop concert and even a Murder Mystery to tax those “little grey cells”, Mundesley on Show offers something for everyone; all delivered by local North Norfolk performers.

Opening Mundesley on Show with “Come to the Cabaret” is Sheringham musician Paul Thompson, who is launching his first album, and with friends brings a night of music, laughter and poetry as our audience tuck into a light supper. A slower pace follows as our audience chill out with a glass of wine and a bite to eat to favourite classical (and contemporary) sounds with the wonderful Norwich based Cordes Strings Quartet. Another night brings the challenge of unravelling the tangled web of lies and deceit and solve the Mundesley on Show Awards Ceremony Murder Mystery performed by North Norfolk’s Dreamstone Productions strolling players often seen on the Poppyline steam railway.

For those who love to dance, Mundesley on Show returns to the  1940s where you can dance to the sound of the great Norfolk vocalist Sarah Mai and her band, the Rhythm Riots. And for those a little more reticent on the dance floor, Trotters Bottom Ceilidh will get even the most reticent dancers strutting their stuff.

Younger members of our community will delight in the Mundesley 1st Air Scouts perform their Gang Show and, on another night, a punk pop concert. Not only is the Gang Show great family fun but a fundraiser towards a climbing wall and a Ghana trip for Mundesley 1st Air Scouts. In contrast local punk pop bands Couch, Adventures By Post and Foreign Bier bring Mundesley on Show to a close with the vibrant, high octane performances.

Mundesley on Show is a North Norfolk community volunteer enterprise, giving opportunity to North Norfolk performers, providing summer enjoyment to North Norfolk residents and tourists, and (hopefully) raising money for Mundesley Coronation Hall charity and Mundesley 1st Air Scouts.  That’s true community spirit.

Mundesley on Show August 8th – 17th. Ticket prices vary across the nights from £2 to £15 with the most expensive nights including a light supper. Tickets at /  0333 666 3366 (booking fee applies). A limited number are available at The Corner House, Cromer Road, Mundesley.
